It is a new narration of Takhti’s sport, political, social and marriage life. He was a free style wrestler, international champion and Iranian hero who had a suspicious death. Some believe he committed suicide, other theories include murder by the government but both groups possess convincing evidence. This film narrates his last six years alive, since he received gold medal in 1961 Yokohama competition till his death in 1967. During these six years, he couldn’t get any notable ranking, just a silver medal in 1962 Ohio, Toledo. In 1966 he retired and just one year later, when he was 36, he either committed suicide or was murdered. This film uses re-enactment scenes, voice over and interviews with Takhti contemporaries including wrestling champions and politicians.
A number issues and fresh evidence into his life and death is told for the first time in the film. “The Man” benefits from never seen before archival footage.
